Agricultural & Resource Land

Land, used for small-scale agriculture, agri-tourism or sustainable resource extraction, is one of our latest passions.

FiveHaystacks Farm in Campbellville hosts a small group of dedicated microfarmers who use organic and regenerative methods to grow a variety of produce, including southeast Asian vegetables and Dalle cherry peppers (Nepali hot peppers).

In addition, the hay from the fields supports several rescue horses at the second property, Hillesum Farm. Other areas are occupied by wetlands and provide habitat for many animal species.

Small-scale mining

More recently still, we have begun to consider the value of vacant, unused land as a valuable resource in its own right, and as potential sites for small-scale sustainable mining in partnership with local communities, future live-work hubs for artisans, and places of healing.

We are currently endeavoring to secure land in Nova Scotia for these nascent projects with our partner Sundance Resources.
